When it comes to dealing with body issues, you may have to see what may be occurring in sensitive areas. One of the most sensitive areas for men is that of the penis. The penis could have a few changes that could very well scare some. For instance, if you have a STD or a STI, there may be bumps, lesions, or warts that come up. These can be painful, and they can come up without any notice. This is something that many individuals will be scared of, and may not want to discuss it with anyone. It’s for that reason why you may want to look into what certain issues are over others. For instance, if you have pearly penile papules you may think that you have something that is far worse. The reality of the situation may be that you are dealing with something simple, and not complex. But what about polyps and hives? Are they similar? That’s a good distinction to explore, which is why the following can help you out.
Pearly Penile Papules
Starting with pearly penile papules, you’ll find that these are small bumps that can come up on the head of the penis and the shaft in some instances. They are small bumps that are flesh tone or white. They are connected, and they are very small in size, but do raise up from the skin. They will not hurt, they will not bleed, or puss, and they will be very small and cosmetic for the most part.
Polyps
Polyps are a lot different than pearly penile papules, although some mistake them because they are not sure what they are looking at. These are small, and are clumps of elements that are not cancerous, and are not going to cause much damage. They often appear around various parts of the body, and have a small surface, with a stalk, and will cause some to panic. Polyps are nothing to be afraid of and should be taken care of by a doctor as certain polyps could mutate and cause cancer. PPP is not the same as polyps, as polyps are traditionally larger as they are small clumps of cells.
Hives
Hives has a close relationship to the chicken pox. However, they are not the same as pearly penile papules, though you may think that you’re dealing with something similar. Hives can hurt, it’s an irritation of the skin that can go across many different patches of the dermis, and it’s due to an allergic reaction. You can easily spot this because there will be an outbreak on the body, and yes it could be around the pubic region, but it’s often skin rash and it will not be bumpy every single time.
The main issue that you’ll need to remember overall is that pearly penile papules will not hurt. These are not going to cause any pain or issue that you will need to deal with. If there’s pain, or any sort of irritation, then you don’t necessarily have pearly penile papules.
